The amazing anti-cancer effect of Nuruk, the rice-wine starter!
Nuruk, the natural ingredient of Korean traditional wine, is known to contain an element that suppresses cancer metastasis.
A cancer is a disease that competes for the 1st or 2nd cause of a death with cardiovascular diseases in the world. A cancer is not generated instantly but developed chronically over a long period of time. It is reported that a cancer is developed step by step in the order of start, acceleration, progress, and metastasis. Especially, blood vessel called angiogenes must be made to supply nutrient and oxygen for the growth and metastasis of a cancer. Thus by blocking this angiogenesis, the blood supply to the cancer cell can be prevented. Furthermore, it is expected to ultimately destroy and help treat a cancer through surgical way by preventing the metastasis of a cancer cell to other organs.
In the joint study conducted by the research institute of Koosoondang and Sungkyunkwan University, the effect of Nuruk to suppress the generation a new angiogenes was confirmed and this result was listed in an academic journal as follows (Food Sci. Biotech. (2009) 18(6): 1423-1429).
The effect of Koosoondang Nuruk on the suppression of cancer metastasis when applied to a fertile egg
The substance extracted from Kooksoondang Nuruk was confirmed to be effective to block the cancer metastasis. The extract of Kooksoondang Nuruk effectively suppressed the mobile capacity (Metastatic progression) of the breast cancer cells. The effect to suppress the generation of a new angiogenes around the cancer tissue was evaluated to hinder the formation of angiogenes at the chorioallantoic membrane of a fertile egg.
As a result, it was verified that higher concentration level of Kooksoondang Nuruk was shown to suppress the cancer metastasis more. Thus, it was verified that the extract of Kooksoondang Nuruk takes the significant anti-cancer effect, which suppressed the generation of a new angiogenes.
